The Cultural Impact of New York Nightlife (Video)
Tuesday, November 13, 2012 at 10:27PM New York is defined by its nightlife. Everything from the history of the city to the sensibility of its residents is connected to the bar and the dance floor in some way. But the fundamental importance of this lifestyle has been belittled ever since Prohibition. There has been very little serious debate on the positive impacts of nightlife culture on New York City.
NCI organized a panel of experts to discuss and debate this topic at our Nightlife Culture Expo. This video shows some of the insight and prickly perspectives that nightlife culture generates.
